Not even a week, and I've got two new renders for everyone.  Maybe the 3 week vacation that my boss gave me so I wouldn't loose my time for the year has somehow got the juices flowing.

just thought that i'd share something i thought up after i was inspired to fiddle around with the expressions of my characters.  ironic that the inspiration was from the movie battleship.

Sorry for not saying much in this thread -- life's been hectic for the past few weeks with respect to work.  I like the new direction of "action shots" -- interesting concept for rendering.

As always, I enjoy the different takes that you keep having on the DoomGuy concept.  Not sure if you have tried talking with Kornel about your rendering/modelling abilities -- he might need extra muscle for Jupiter Hell if you have spare capacity.

glad to read that you like the new renders laptop.  i know what you mean about work being hectic. i'll be surprised if things aren't crazy at the store i work at when i return from vacation on the 23rd because of thanksgiving.

Are the flames placed as plane layers?  Because I am seeing some weird horizontal artifacts near the bottom left corner.

I was using a plugin for DAZ for creating pardecal effects to create the flames.  I had also rendered the image twice with different light settings and did some editing, so maybe that had something to do with what you are seeing.

Also I hadn't even thought about the Viles when I set things up, I just had an idea that I had to get out of my head.

just an idea i had that wouldn't let me rest until i rendered it.

I hope that there's little recoil, because if all the barrels fire at the same time with recoil, that arm is going bye bye.

But nice take on the "I have a big... pistol" concept.  =D

I agree that it has been a while laptop.  I didn't really have much in the way of ideas to render last month so I wasn't as active as I sometimes am.

BTW your comment about the render before my last one gave me an idea to suggest for a special weapon.  A six barreled rocket pistol that if you used the alt fire, would fire every round loaded but for each round past the first would reduce your max hp by a set amount. I was thinking maybe 5% per extra round.

Here's a little something new that I just rendered.



I kind of drew inspiration from one of my Star Trek Online characters when creating this DoomGuy.  That's why he's 'catty' if you will.
