Some easier to obtain badges?

Tuomari Jim:
My 2c: playing a challenge mode can be easier for your mind than trying to beat the standard game. Why? Because with restrictions, you have fewer alternatives and fewer strategies, meaning you need to spend less time hesitating and trying to decide which strategy to go for. That choice has already been made, and the challenge modes are really good in this respect, aiding personal development. And this is why reading the wiki can be troubling, because, storywise, there isn't really much in the game anyway(at least not much that we weren't familiar with already). The fun comes from figuring out the game mechanics, so hopefully reading guides, if necessary, won't take the fun away. I do check the level layouts fairly often though, but that's just careful planning...

BTW, out of curiosity, how often do you get a chance to play DoomRL, Brewtal?

As an additional note: I won AoB before AoSh (and that's not because I didn't try AoSh), and it was one of the first challenges I won, but maybe that's just me.

Rarely to be honest. Maybe once a month on average to be able to sit down and really spend time to play it. I rarely get to play any game these days. For the past about year and a half my life has become very complicated and stressful to where I rarely have time to myself and even then, something always manages to pop up when I expect to have some time to do anything for myself.

If I really wanted to I probably could it in time to play maybe one level a night but I don't really find that enjoyable.

I was surprised I made it that far too. Think it was a lot of luck. Ordinarily, I rarely even make it to the hellgate. But at the same time, I usually don't go for a itytd win when I play. I usually try to go for a badge (well any badge that doesn't require beating the game) to get the next rank. Right now I've been switching between going for silver aob badge and the hell's arena on UV badge. I'm surprised I ever made it to level 7 on aob. I rarely get past level two recently.

Brewtal Legend:
Got some more play in since the new version and managed to get my next rank and first silver badge thanks to the assembly badge. Although I would consider some of the new badges a bit too easy or too luck based. The assembly badges are kinda ridiculously easy. The unique/exotics discovery badges  seem a bit too luck based.

Don't get me wrong, they are definitely easier badges and I probably wouldn't have gotten a silver yet without them. Just not what I had in mind. I was thinking of maybe some more based on hey not too rough like making it somewhere between level 12 and 25. Just a couple.

Getting further at AoB btw. Managed to make it to level 10 once before getting ambushed by a hell knight. lol. Still going for the silver berzerk for my next silver.

p.s. anyone else find a hatred skull and figure what it does?

**edit**
(sorry for the double post. Just realized it)

Deathwind:
Those new badge sets are more for the higher end, does getting ALL of the exotics or making EVERY assembly sound easy?

ps: it's been well over a week so it doesn't really count as a double to me.

Heroic Bronze is hard-ish for a Bronze but easier than any non-trivial Silver. I don't think you can realistically bag Heroic Silver without bagging at least one skill-based Gold. Heroic Gold is well into Platinum difficulty, Heroic Platinum is harder to get than some of the Diamond badges, and Heroic Diamond may well be the hardest physically possible badge in the game.

Technician Bronze and Technician Silver are pretty much trivial. Technician Gold is a bit tedious, since you need at least one nano pack. Technician Platinum is very tedious, since you need a wide assortment of exotic packs. Technician Diamond is the easiest Diamond badge, since you can get it simply by grinding on HNTR. Not quick, mind you, just easy (all you need is luck and some purely informational spoilers).

Armorer Diamond requires a bit more skill, since getting some of the exotics/uniques require you to do vaguely challenging things, but (again) is mostly just a luck-based grind.
