Perhaps it might not be a bad thing to add a berserker pack or two in the cathedral somewhere in the alcoves - just to give the chance to unlucky marines who don't have the means to go berserk on their own ;-)

Nah, the special levels are supposted to be special. There is no rocket launcher on the right side of The Wall and there should be no berserk packs anywhere in the Cathedral. The spear is the hard earned reward for those who put effort into obtaining it.
