Considering that it fires rockets and is only 1 tile from you, I don't think he will fire though...

I think he was a bit further away...

Cybie cannot not attack from out of sight, instead he will try to move towards you.
He knows your location but he will not move into hurtfloors even if it's the only way OFF a hurtfloor. This is a holdover from his vintage baron-based AI (they act the same way surrounded with hurtfloors).

OK, I see. Somehow I thought he could.
If that's the case, the only problem is indeed him not being able to move. Everything else is fine. Thanks for explanation anyway.

Monsters will consider firing at you any time they (a) can see you (b) are not next to you. Even if you're two squares away and they have radius 2 or greater on their ranged attack. (Cybie is immune to his own rockets, but bruisers, at least, are not immune to their own acid balls; I've seen one deal itself the killing blow.)
