Happened to me when I forgot to plug in my earphones. The colleagues looked ... quite surprised.
But perhaps this can make them start DoomRL-ing as well :).

the PC I work at has its sound card burnt away (the chip malfunctioned), so no sound, only peeks from behind. One even said "Whoa, people still play this?" I responded with "Yep, and it's still alive and developing!"
