This is very weird... not the normal slow windows console problem... maybe a misconfigured codepage.... do other console applications (i.e., roguelikes :P) work correctly on your box?

adom runs perfectly without any missing graphics. only doom...

anybody know any way to make my thing go better? i mean when i walk the barrels dissapear and come up, all the sudden boom me and all people around me are dead... do i need to update java or my dos? i love this game  id like to play it decently :(

Does this also happen on fullscreen? What's your windows version?

windows xp... other games run just fine, adom for example
