It started as a quick run to just check the new version and get some arch-vile kills for that rank. Around level 30 I started feeling like I could actually get somewhere. I found the first nuclear plasma rifle around then, and the second one around midway through the game( there was a third one near the end of the game, but didn't need it obviously). I had been using plasma rifle and rocket launcher till that that point, but soon ditched them all. I picked a lot of uniques/exotics on my way since I had a lot of room in my inventory, but they were just dead weight.
At level 75 I encountered the cyberdemons for the first time; it felt like I was in the middle of an artillery bombardment. I used that to my advantage and used them to take down most many other mobs by circling around the map near the edges. Overall cyberdemons proved to be the toughest mob to take down for me. Suprise attacks by mancubi an arch viles were deadly too, but in the end they never got me *that* close to death. Revenant did get me down to 2% twice by pushing me into lava. The level 89 filled with former humans was quite neat, I was frightened first after seeing the huge mass of blibs via intuition, but when I find out what they were I just enjoyed the massacre.
I was on my way to getting 100% kills but on the level 90 the alarm rang, getting me totaly swarmed by mancubi/viles and shamblers. I just saw no safe way to survive that, and didn't want to risk it all after getting so near the end. later on there were two other levels I had to skip due to unfortunate circumstances.
