Thanks to Krishh's advice (in his AoB victory post) concerning traits order (modyfing it with Hellrunner to dodge Cybie's rockets) the game was just a piece of cake. The first easy moment came when I finally saw staircase to the Chained Court (*grin*). And the second one - my first visit to the Unholy Cathedral being properly equipped :P AoD, taken by mistake as an Arachnotron was pretty tough! But the reward was awesome! I'll join the LS worshipers cult :P
The game after that was very easy. Arachnotrons dying after one jab. I was wondering whether to visit the Mortuary or not (that would make my second visit there). Finally, I decided to take this risk, so I collected some powerup (I guess it was a Berserk Pack), walked down the nearest stairs... and emerged on level 5 of Phobos Hell :P Ooops, wrong staircase :> Didn't see its color in powerup mode :P

Cybie was just... well, pathetic. I waited for him to come behind some wall and then walked out. He didn't even shoot.

DoomRL is truly a masterpiece :)

Well, It's "Hey not to rough" isn't it? ^_^

Yes, it's a marvelous weapon :). And a melee game with UC in the visit list, is actually completed once you gain hold of this artifact -- but I guess it's not that bad -- gaining the LS is a hard task indeed, that takes preperation.

If you manage to get into HtH with him while wearing the LS, he's practically dead.

Well, judging by the amount of medpacks you saved, maybe it's worth trying to repeat the game on HMP diff-level? :D

DoomRL is truly a masterpiece :)

Thank you! ^_^

Yeah, I know... :\ That was just my second serious game in AoB mode (the first was getting to level 16 or something). I wasn't sure what to expect later, so... But I think it doesn't deserve a "hard" rating given in challanges screen. AoLT gave me a lot more problems (and it's "easy").

You mean surviving a couple of levels before Chained Court and couple of levels before Cathedral itself, don't you? :P But ok, that was just level easy. It won't be that nice on higher levels ;)

I thought that will be a big problem, but I got to him in just two turns. His melee attack is weaker than his rockets, not to mention my finest weapon ;)

You're right - it's definitely worth :>

The difficulty ratings were given "by eye". I guess AoM IS Hard :-P

Well I really wanted to make melee useful in this release, and maybe I went a little overboard ^_^

Heh, waiting for the HMP vicpost then :D

You got lucky... I for example rarely live to see Chained Court... usually I die on level 2 or 3 (I swear that the damn game generates three times more sergeants in AoB than normally ><)

I mean that if you'll be lucky enough to get to the Chained Court, the level switches to easy. Most of my chars die on level 2 or 3 (damned sergeants!), but who cares about tough beginnings? :P
