Karry: Did you play AoB?

Kornel: There's no portable berserk pack ^^ (if it wasn't AoB, then Medkits=/=Berserk)

Well, there's a certain trait you can choose after brute(2)...

Berserker man... Berserker...

What does being berserk do anyways, other than turn everything red?

Speeds you up by about 40% and increases damage by x2-x2.5

No, i wasnt playing AoB, if i was - i wouldnt have gotten where i did. Basically shotgunned everything on the way.

Berserker is fine and dandy, but if i get Berserker - i wont have TaN 3, and 4% is looking to me like hanging over chasm on a thin thread.

As for AoB, i believe large med-kits berserk effect is much, much, much shorter than that of berserk pack.

Why do you think that there would only be one level of Berserker?

It gets increased by damage dealt too. And contrary to what might seem it is alot. Or at least enough to keep you going.

Berserk perk triggers when you deal damage. The more damage you deal the more additional % to trigger Berserk you get (on to of that 4% * level thing). Whole formula should be somewhere in Wiki: Reactivation topic.

Okay, so it seems the maximum amount is about 21%.
But that also means 3 traits less to choose.

I just killed the Angel of Death in an Angel of Darkness challenge game on HNTR with chainsaw and Brute(3), Berserker(2), Iron Man(2) in a damaged blue armor and only lost about 40%hp.
I switched to a new armor after killing the skulls and my berserker triggered about halfway through the demons and the second to last demon triggered it again, so I only used a large med and didn't bother switching armor (it was still above 70%) and just stormed through the last door. 4 attacks later the angel was a bloody heap at my feet.
And once I left the cathedral, proudly carrying the spear, the game decided to lock up on me upon entering the next level :(

Perhaps it might not be a bad thing to add a berserker pack or two in the cathedral somewhere in the alcoves - just to give the chance to unlucky marines who don't have the means to go berserk on their own ;-)
