My first full win in the latest version! Intuition helped A LOT, as it allowed me to avoid dangerous encounters and get powerups. After getting the Anti-Freak Jackal and a Firestorm double shotgun, enemies no longer were a problem and I could kill freely. Eventually, I reached Cybie. I activated my thermo as soon as I could, blowing 'ol Cybie into dust. After entering John Carmack's lair, I walked until I was about 2 thirds across the map. I then began to run, dodging Carmack's rockets in an attempt to to make him run out of ammo. It didn't really help, so I just started to shoot the shit out of him with my BFG. Eventually, even he fell, leaving only a rocket launcher and 2 stacks of rockets. I guess I got lucky.

[EDIT] Is the mortem tag not showing up for anyone else?

You know that due to a bug the firestorm mod does nothing on a double shotgun?

The mortem button has been missing for a while...

The firestorm mod increases how many times a multishot weapon fires (example - it increases a chaingun from (1d6)x4 to (1d6)x5. IF a Double Shotgun could hold three shells, it would already shoot three times and therefore would have an actual damage of x3 instead of the current x2. For a Firestorm Mod to work on a Double Shotgun, the DS must be able to hold as many shells as the final multiplier.

Is the Super Shotgun a multishot weapon? If it is, the same rule applies - the clip must equal or exceed the multiplier in order to get the full multiplier.
