Though this would make it easier, I think it would match the "Darkness" flavor better if enemies only revived when you weren't looking.  It's how I imagined it was going to be until I tried an AoD run.  Your thoughts?

My idea for Angel of Darkness is to have monsters spawn at the very edge of your vision whenever you sit around for too long, while removing the respawning bit altogether. Personally I think the respawn should stay in Nightmare! where it belongs: in this way we can remove the extra experience constraint as well, since "sit around for too long" can be avoided in a lot of cases but is still a constant concern when shooting from cover.

If we were to keep respawning around, then I wouldn't mind changing up the conditions for their respawns as you outlined.
