Two more Diamond badges, Eagerness and Reaper!  WHEEEEEEE!  :D

Lately, I've been trying to get the Eagerness Diamond with a Survivalist build, just to show that I'm not a one trick pony, but after failing several times, I decided to go with my old reliable standby of the Vampyre build and I got it after 18 tries.  :P

There were a few close calls, here and there, most notably at Hellgate where I was down to 24% health, non-berserk up against the Bruiser Brothers with my chainsaw.  One more hit from them would have killed me, but my berserk kicked in at the last second and allowed me to kill them.  (Whew!)

It was a lucky thing that I found a rocket launcher on the level that had the entrance to Hell's Armory, because otherwise, I wouldn't have been brave enough to try to clear it, and I wouldn't have gotten the Nano mod pack, and I wouldn't have gotten the Gravity Boots, which, it turns out, are crazy powerful for a melee build!  :)

The boots made it surprisingly easy to clear the Mortuary!  I was expecting the Mortuary to be a long, hard, slog, painstakingly destroying each corpse with my Micro Launcher as I went along, and I stocked up on rockets to prepare for it, but with the Gravity Boots, I zoomed around (at 0.12 seconds per move) and killed everything so fast, that monster respawning wasn't even an issue!  (And most of them got gibbed by my Brute 5 Longinus Spear anyway)  And just like that, Reaper Diamond!  :D

When I got to the Lava Pits, I faced some indecision about whether or not to try for the full win.  AoI doesn't allow me to carry envirosuit packs, but abundant Pain Elementals in the Lava Pits provide lots of healing sources, so I was thinking that I might just try running across the lava anyway, but then, before I even got to the first island, my Gravity Boots had already taken 40% damage and I decided to retreat back to the exit and just forget about the full win...  Then, on level 24, I found an invulnerability sphere next to a homing phase device and it was like the RNG was saying, "No, really, get the full win!" and so I did.  :)

You friggin' psycho. Hell-bent on absolutely dominating the game much?

Survivalist does actually seem to be a great go-to build for limited health games (AoI, AoHu, etc.), but I wouldn't presume to have any clue of what works for Nightmare. Also, I thought the Gravity Boots were indestructible... probably not something you'd want to test that far into that kind of run, though, har.
