I hate to start another thread about the Dragonslayer but ugh

That reminds me, the only non-exploiting way to get Longinus Diamond seems to be getting the DS at exactly DLevel 16. :P

I remember when I first saw the DS.

I picked it up, and became a god. 

Combine permazerk with gravity boots, and you can take up to 7 steps per ArchVile attack.  The mortuary was literally taking turns shooting at me.

Easiest endgame I've ever had in my life.

I've never been told explicitly not to tell anyone what the pickup requirements are, but I'm assuming posting them on this forum is a bad idea.  But, I will say that if a Dragonslayer spawns, it is pretty likely that you'll have the means to pick it up there and then.

Been there, tried that. If it's a requirement, it's not the only one.

After some digging through old DS mortems, and finding some commonalities between them, plus what people have been saying around the forums, I think I know how to wield the Dragonslayer and wear the Berserker Armor. But I'm not 100% certain, and I won't spill it on the forums.
