Fire damage affects fluids
« on: January 14, 2012, 16:24 »

I was just thinking that maybe enough fire (or even plasma) damage might be able to evaporate water off the floor. I can't see it being useful very often (maybe if I'm pounding a former so hard it is obvious it has exotic armor of some sort?) You could also have lots and lots of fire damage ignite acid into lava.... which could be unpleasant, but might be a nice way of speeding up the death of stuff you've knocked back into it.

Pretty pointless IMO.

In other rougelikes, smoke is useful for hiding yourself from the sight of your enemies. So there is a small tactical advantage available here.
