I was playing on Hey, Not Too Rough in Challenge game Angel of Shotgunnery.

I had just killed the Cyberdemon (somehow) and entered Infero.
I was killed by a Former Commando and the game immediately crashed to desktop (the music was still playing over the error message).

Here's the error message:


My equipment was:
Weapon: Combat Shotgun A1
Armor: Onyx Armor A1
Boots: Phaseshift Boots A1

Sadly, my achievement was lost. :(

I was doing an Angel of Marksman run and just got this same error.  I wasn't holding a melee or anything.  Two combat pistols.  I used a homing device, and landed on a metric ton of death by the staircase.  Imps, barons of hell, and former commandos.  I didn't catch all of the text, but a bunch of stuff died, because the baron nailed me with a rocket and I heard lots of "ARGH!" sounds.  Then I died, and crashed.

Were either of you holding a melee weapon at ANY point during the run? The error in question isn't caused by dying with a melee weapon, it's caused by holding a melee weapon (excepting fists) while an enemy, for any reason, dies. This would most likely have occurred at the Chained Court, when you auto-equip the chainsaw for a free zerk. If you're positive nothing like that happened, then I'll have to dig around for another bug.

I think it's safe to assume that he wasn't holding a melee weapon on Angel of Marksmanship.

Oh, right, sorry. You can pick up and wield weapons, you just can't shoot. My bad =(
