One of the requirements for Major is "win the game on at least Hurt Me Plenty". I won one hame on HMP prior to becoming captain and one after I became captain (both wins show up in the stats) but it's still not greyed out in the requirements list.

Maybe there meant at least on UV, because it is greyed in my status. But anyway it is not good, that requirement not compares to text.

The first 2 requirements are greyed out, the second 2 are still red - and that fits just fine, but it doesn't make any sense to me that there're both UV and N! requirements for the same rank.
If it makes any difference, I had done UV and AoB before reaching Major rank.

Did you win a normal game on HMP, or was it a challenge mode? It may be possible that challenge games are ot counted in the "win on HMP" requirement, but I have no way to verify this now...

It seems to me that Valkeera is right, because i have won UV 5 times in different challenges, but player board shows that i still need to win at least UV to archieve General rank. I haven't won UV in normal game.

I just tested it on the Corporal rank with Angel of Darkness challenge - completed it with a standard win - and for advancement to Lieutenant, the "win the game" condition was not greyed! So the problem indeed is that the game doesn't recognize won challenges as advancement conditions met.

I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it's seriously unfair! :-)

Yes, it's really unfair. I had won Nightmare!, but because i done it in AoH, it won't count as requirement to General rank.

Well, actually, that's maybe a case where it IS fair, if the idea was going through all 26 levels of N!, but it does seem unintentional.

Sorry about the crappy format. I just beat the game on HMP, even beat the mortuary! I didn't level up to major. Reach level 15 is greyed out. Do you have to also do all the challenges? And are the challenges registering? Is that part of the problem?

Yes, you'll need to meet all mentioned requirements to advance to the mentioned next rank. In your case you still need to reach L5 in AoB and L10 in AoM to advance to the sergeant rank (You still have a long way until Major).
