Nope, killing JC by any means (I believe) is a full win.

Funnily enough, dying whilst in JC's lair is a standard win. (But you also don't get badges...)

If I remember correctly don't you need to be still standing when JC dies to get your badges?

I got a full win on AoPc in .995, and IIRC the badge as well, though AoPc could be a speficific case.
