I also got Assault Shotgun and Laser Rifle.. plenty of mods.. Damn that's some lucky RNG.
I decided to overload Cybie, due to lucky invul spawn. When I got dual high power pistols, it was easy. Also, I didn't go to Mortuary, I had like 1 small healthpack..
Mastermind hurts, even with 5 armor (maybe I should've put on energy shielded vest), but with phase and couple of medpacks it wasn't a threat.

Oh, and I used nice tactic (for GunKata at least); I rebinded run command to insert (which is 0 on numpad), so I press quickly 0->5 to have longer wait in place. When monsters pop up I kill them and auto-reload ;) It's especially handy when opening vaults from distance - demons will show up eventually. And you don't get hit.

Good job. You can enhance this by giftdropping - drop a medkit somewhere and stay close. Formers won't be able to resist it and you can easily ambush them.

You could just play tag around pillars with Spidey, if you got enough speed that is. No need to tank anything.

As for "welcome party", this is my method as well. I have binded ',' and '.', so they are near each other...
Increasing repetitions to few hundreds also help ;P .

Yea.. it's also good that you can spam it without much delay - I think it was fixed in new version, and earlier you had to wait some time, till monsters stop moving.
Now, if you don't have tracking map on, it's instant. But I'm not so sure if it's been like that earlier or not. Anyway, good strategy (unless you are doing some speedrun badges/medals) ;)

Now when I think, I could've outrunned Mastermind easily. Even with armor, I had like 0.55 s/move or something like that.

Now, if you don't have tracking map on, it's instant. But I'm not so sure if it's been like that earlier or not. Anyway, good strategy (unless you are doing some speedrun badges/medals) ;)

Now when I think, I could've outrunned Mastermind easily. Even with armor, I had like 0.55 s/move or something like that.
I rely mostly on sounds that monsters produce, so they take a bit of time sometimes (1-2 secs, I think).

And thats quite nice speed you got there - for sure it should be enough to fire at least once every few steps.

I haven't been looking for the boundaries of AoB/AoMs/AoSh yet, but clearly they are less rigid than expected. Although technically you're not firing the weapon, you are of course using it to dispose enemies. Is it also possible to use the RL to destroy walls then? Or is it simply that the fire+alt fire functions of all (other) weapons are blocked, depending on the challenge?

Yes, you cannot fire (or attack with) any weapon that's not in the restricted set. For AoB, you can't fire ranged weapons, for AoMr, you can fire pistols and go with fists, with AoSh, you can fire shotguns and use your fists. But, you can reload other weapons if you need to :) and alt-reload is okay too. So in case you find a Trigun on Aosh, you can use it as an instant multicharged nuke, despite it being not a shotgun. :D

Overloading a nuclear plasma rifle uses alternate reload - you can't fire a disallowed gun on weapon challenges, but you can reload it.
