So I figured out how to use the Dragon Slayer

And I have to say that once I figured it out I thought the mechanic to pick it up was rather odd. Now let's see if I can finish my Ao100 run with it.

Please don't reveal how to wield it. I don't know if you intend to, but then Kornel will have to change it to be even more obscure. It's supposed to be one of the great secrets of the game.

Also, I have to ask: Did you learn how to wield it from savescumming, or legitimately?

His game's mortem doesn't mention any saving, so it's most likely legit. Congratulations!

BTW, what is behind that link in the second post? I don't want to click it until I'm sure there are no spoielrs =)

I'm not planning on revealing how I got it to work. I didn't savescum, but it took me 30-45 minutes of real time to figure it out. I sat there a couple of times thinking "Ok, I must be meeting the requirements." I was wrong. When I finally figured it out, I really wish I had gone Marine instead of Scout.

That is the question, isn't it?  :)  Another clue perhaps?  It certainly fits with one of my theories, but a comment from one of the Dragonslayer's club seemed to discount that theory.  Hmm...

I wish I would have gone Marine for Vampyre. :) Nothing other than that.

With the Dragonslayer, you'd probably get far more mileage out of Blademaster. MVm's health-gain is nice, but you've got a base 60% damage resistance once you pick up the sword...

I'd like to do it with a Malicious Blades build just for the funny visual of carrying this massive, massive sword in one hand and a dinky little combat knife in the other.  :)

Or you could have a Chainsword. At least they're then somewhat more balanced against one another, right? :D

Also, if the Dragonslayer is your offhand, it actually makes sense as to why you're getting those epic resistances, you're just standing behind it.
