[NotBug]Quits unexpectedly

I was playing and all of a sudden it quit... did this twice to me.
I'm on win7 x64.
Is there something I can do to make it more stable?  I hate having to save/exit and come back in again just to ensure I can keep my stuff.

The "normal" kind of crash should generate a save file and an error log. Doesn't it do that?
(if it does, post the log here)

Are you sure this is the right forum?

Last I remembered, DoomRL does not have handedness for weapons nor axes...
