This is my first Hurt me Plenty run, and personally I'd say I did well, aside from the part where I ran out of bullets, had to flee from the lava elemental only to get slaughtered by everything on the second to last level (I was gonna use the thermonuclear on the SM)
The worst part? I had actually found a blaster a few levels earlier. I decided not to take it because I thought I would not need it. Long story short, it bit me in the rear big time.
Also, 3 more basic schematics and hopefully I'll stop being given them in Hell's Armory and will be given something more useful, like nano/onyx mod packs.
Hopefully next game I'll actually win, as long as I remember to pack enough ammo into Hell.

Sharpshooter builds are the most ammo-efficient pistol builds and Gun Kata comes in second, so you can try the other classes if ammo keeps being a problem.

I admire that you kept on playing pacifist-style instead of giving up completely when the ammo ran dry.

General SoG-SoB-EE is the second most ammo-efficient.MGK is third.

I see that you stopped at SoG2 and SoB2.
SoG3 reduces fire time from 60% (with SoG2) of normal, to 40% of normal.
So taking SoG3 increases your DPS(no including reloading) more than in 1.5 times.
SoB3 isn't that impressive but helps too.
And by increasing your damage, these traits decrease ammo usage.
Also with SoG3 and SoB3 your chance to knockback enemy becomes seriosly high, so you can keep them on the edge of your vision.
One more tip: use aimed shot when all you want is to kill one poor imp and firing 4 shots is an overkill.Aimed shot is not affected by MBD.

You turned down a Blaster in an AoMr game?  :o  What was taking up space in your inventory that you thought was more important than it?

EDIT:  (Sorry to rub it in; it's just that a Blaster is a Godsend in AoMr, especially for a Bullet Dance build)

I thought because it auto-reloads that I can't manually reload, and sometimes that would be a problem, not being able to reload. I did'nt realise that I would run out of bullets.
Also, bullet efficiency for me is not that important :P I prefer Bullet Dance because it allows me to kill enemies much faster, which when you're fighting 2-3 barons of hell/arachnotrons at the same time...I just need to not forget that when I get Bullet Dance I start using bullets. FAST.

I've tried both MBD and MSs, and if you're going to be in a position to get SOG to 5, I'd vouch for the latter. The insanely short fire time coupled with the knockback enables you to get everything out of your view, then reload while you can't be seen. MBD gave me the same problems as it did you (my mortem should be in there somewhere as well, with just about the same name), though I believe I simply got slaughtered by Spidey when push came to shove.

I've come to prefer a masterless marine build to Bullet Dance. Just don't forget that it is an option.
