One could tie the rope to the shards of twisted metal straying from the hole's borders, but there is always the risk that it won't hold - that the rope will slide down or tear. The fall may not be deadly, but sure as hell that it will result in broken bone.
The pipe below you is located roughly about ten meters from the hole. It is broad enough for one person to stand on it, but it is all covered in rust and looks not very reliable.

HexaDoken:
"Okay." - HexaDoken stands up, grabbing all his weaponry. - "We have wasted enough time discussing. Let's already do something. I suggest for one to get down there on the rope and scout a bit, while other three stay here and hold the rope. I am ready to be the scout, but if anyone else wants my role I'll gladly give it."

HexaDoken pauses, looking at his team. Most of his face is still hidden behind the scarf, so you can't really read any emotions. The tone of mercerenary's voice however clearly indicates that he is serious.

"This plan is open to revision. Bear in mind that I am pretty sick of it and I'm not going wait for long."

You think that it is surprisingly weird to see someone like him being serious.

Klear:
"Now you're talking," MkLear laughs. "When you get down, give us a shout. We'll be right behind you."

LuckyDee:
"If MkLear and Xilla can handle your weight, I can give you cover."
