[IC] The Lesser of Two Heresies.
Klear:
"Feth that. I don't even want to hear what it was. Much better that way, sure as sure," MkLear's voice pierces through the gathered silences. "Was this all you wanted from us?"
There is a hint of impatience, anger and maybe even fear in his voice. Or is that just a calculated performance on his part? His hand clutching his worn nalwood dice is definitely not under his conscious control.
Sylith:
She doesn't answer at first, laying plates on the ground and sitting next to Lazerus. Then she turns her head to Hexa.
"It is the curse of my people, speaking simply. I am afraid you would not understand if I told you any more details."
She pauses for a while, looks at Lijah.
"I also wanted to feed you, Gifted" she points at the plates with a gesture. "Is this what makes you so nervous?"
HexaDoken:
"How would giving you the curse of your people help you?" - asks HexaDoken. It is interesting that he shows absolutely no surprise, like holding stones that might decide destiny of lots of other people is a common practise for him.
Sylith:
The Seer smiles strangely to mercenary.
"It is a little more complicated. As I said, I am afraid you would not understand..." she answers with a little indulgent manner. "But it will not help you either, I can assure you. It will not bring you luck nor wealth, if that is what you are after. You might think of it as the payment for my help with your assignment or just a liberation from this burden, that is your call. But first, sit. Feed yourself and drink, do not think I cannot see you are exhausted after what you have been through."
Klear:
"Im nervous around psykers, and unsantioned ones, at that," MkLear answers. "Ive seen what warp can do, and I dont want to have anything to do with it, sure as sure."
He then leans a bit forward, staring uncomfortably where the Seers eyes should be.
"Having a portal inside your head, which can at any time allow the demons of the immaterium to manifest in our universe is a dangerous thing. If I was in your place, Id do my best to hide it. You may feel safe here among these outcasts, but there are agents of the Imperium everywhere, and they wouldnt think twice about terminating you."
He leans back and lights yet another lho-stick, cursing silently to himself noticing how many he already smoked.
"Or worse," he adds. "There are far worse fates than death for the likes of you."
