If you don't want to take Brute, you can easily apply Game Hunter's Longinus Diamond strategy to UV - in fact it's easier on UV as enemies are slower.

Good strategy from GH.
I believe that if GH would run around the pillars in the lost souls room instead of the whole cathedral, the AoD kill would be _much_ faster than using my approach.
But the trick with demons lured into lava, that's something really worth remembering, and not only for AoMC and/or N!.
