Ballistic shield
« on: June 16, 2012, 13:46 »

I love this awesome stuff!
Especially on Hell Knight!
Especially with 2 big medkits and 1 phase device!
Especially when I'm AoMr!

P.S.
4 small medkits, 1 bersekr pack, a real lot of 10mm ammo and i get 24% ballistic shiled!

This is why the Energy Pistol was developed, and why you should usually try to assemble one on AoMr.

Which is why energy-shielded vest was developed. Hell knights suck =)

Hell knights? Try Barons of Hell, just as frustrating when armored except they deal even more damage.

Try a N! Baron of Hell with Vile backup in a hallway, when it has a Shielded Armor. On a AoMr without SoG, and a 1-mod max on my pistols, and no exotics/uniques.

It's 2Dev. AoMr without SoG is pretty standard for him. AoMr N! YAAM Without SoG or SoB is pretty much standard.

Given 2Dev's reputation around here, backed by about the most awesome/ridiculous mortems around, yeah, the fact is pretty obvious ;).

I saw his mortems.
Seems that he sold a lot of souls to the Devil, to get these skills.

True - expertise can be developed in any discipline by just spending enough time practicing. There's a difference between "playing" and "practicing," though, and I think most people are content to just "play" without thinking about ways to improve their game. If anything sets you apart, it's that.

Thats not totally true, because every "playing" is "practicing" a lot. Until at the some moment, your skills becomes limited by something, for example - free time or patience.

I can not imagine ф man, who plays and not learning how to improve his YASD mortems.

Well, I'm your example then. I'm not interested in extreme damage prevention techniques like waiting in place for hundreds of turns, which means that my skill in DoomRL is ultimately limited by my preference for goofing off over playing optimally. For another example, in multiplayer FPSs I generally just run off and do my own thing without giving much thought to comprehensive team tactics. Am I playing? Yup! Am I practicing? No sir.

Yep, in team-oriented FPS you generally not practicing this way.
And as I said above - your ability to improve your skill now limited by your inadequate tactic or alcohol, thus you are not practicing :)
Remove one of this limitation - and you again practicing.
This is the point, when you are limited by lack of time - you cannot practice more, because it's depends not only on you.
