[M|AoP|99%|24|YASD] How did she kill me?!?
Xtremekiwi:
Okay, a few things to mention.
1) I used a regular reload. I should have ran first, I realise that now. But still, when JC is much easier than the SM, and JC is supposed to be the true final challenge...disproportionate? A 6d6 rocket launcher that needs reloading after every shot + monster summons VS a (3d5-2)x8 plasma-damage dealing chaingun that doesn't need reloading...
2) I never even found the dragonslayer. If I did, I think I would have tried to pick it up :P
3) I am probably gonna try and do a few UV standard runs, at least until I get the Standard UV badges. After that I'll try UV AoMC to get Gatekeeper and Scavenger Diamond.
4) I guess I should also mention that the damage the SM dealt I vastly underestimated. I thought that she dealt (2d5)x3 damage, not (3d5-2)x8
AlterAsc:
(3d5-2)x8 is what you had with your armor, her super chaingun is (3d5)x4.It's just she is fast so sometimes she can take action twice.
IronBeer:
I didn't fully read the OP when jumping into this thread, but after doing so, it's pretty easy to see what happened.
AlterASc's analysis was pretty much spot-on; I'd just like to say that in your shoes, I'd have gone for a partial win in a heartbeat.
Napsterbater:
SM requires special tactics to defeat, for almost any build. +movespeed really really helps. If you can assemble Tac Armor + Tac Boots, then you'll be able to out-run her. You can only stand there and slug it out with her if you've a melee build. The Lava Element only gives nine turns of invulnerability. Use them wisely.
When I beat AoSh, it was with Shottyhead, tac boots, tac armor, and the assault shotgun from the Mortuary. I could unload the entire gun, then still have time to pop around the next corner, AND fully reload. She never got within range. Would have beaten her damageless if I weren't stupid in the beginning of the match.
