For fun I tried a AoMr N! run. I actually did fairly well, I made it to Phobos Anomaly before I got brutalised by the demons. Why I did'nt use a phase device I had, I don't know, but whatever.
After that a few AoOC UV runs, because I thought that the only real hard part is the very start, and once you get a few levels and some armor, it's pretty much like a regular game when you make it to Hell. No, I did not beat the first level.
After that, I decided to go for Pacifict silver, and gold if I was quick enough. Sure enough, on my first run... ;)
The key I discovered is to just run, keep running, stop for as little as possible, to avoid enemy projectiles. Also key is, if possible, to take small detours to grab phase devices and powerups.
Anomaly I had a bit of pain because of the Lost Souls. Thankfully the Bruiser Brothers killed all of them. I ran past them.
Got hit by the Cyberdemon once. It was annoying, but ran past quickly.
Again, just keep running. The stairs were easy to find except for one level in Hell, where I had to look for it for most of the level.
At the end I thought I was way past the 10 minute mark. turns out I had over 45 seconds to spare.
Also, first death by nuking the SM and dying with the explosion :)
