Assemblies

Can I apply two basic assemblies on one weapon? Or one basic and one advanced?

Te be more precise, if you have WK2 when completing the assembly, you can then add a single mod to the result. If you don't have it, you can't mod it anymore.

If only...
So far, my favorite assemblies that I've made, not for most usefulness/cost, but for sheer awesomeness were a F-Mod Biggest Fucking Nuclear Gun in Ao100, and a F-Mod Demolition Minigun that I made in an Ammochain game.

Seriously though, my top assemblies by far are the Tac Boots (149 times), then the Hyperblaster (39 times), and then the Tac Armor (36 times). I don't tend to mess around with other armor assemblies, and as far as boots go, I only ever make Tac Boots or Gravs. For weapon assemblies I use the Hyperblaster for rapidfire games, the Tac Shotty for shotgun games, Speedloaders for pistols, and Piercing Blades for melee games. I rarely make anything else besides those.

But if I could, I'd make a A-mod Tac Phaseshift Armor, and A-mod Tac Grav Phaseshifts. I still wouldn't use any of the heavier armors, I wouldn't need them when I could have that kind of speed.

Or just find a plasma shotgun, which is pretty much the same thing.

I think he meant a Nano-Shrapnel Assault shotgun. That way it pierces armor.

I made a nano-shrapnel double-shotty once. Results were underwhelming. Sure, the damage is piercing, but you get two fewer dice. Give me an unmodded super shotty over a nano-shrapnel on a shotgun run any day.

Of course, you can make a super shotty by P-modding a focused double. You heard it here first.

IS a focused double shotty that useful, really? I mean sure, you have superb concentrated firepower, but the reload time between EVERY BLAST and the fact that the damage is shrapnel (read: is stopped easily by armor without MAD), I think I'd take a tactical shotgun over it any day.

You get the best of both the shotgun and the double shotgun. It really is pretty good. Worth going out of your way for Whizkid? Probably not, depending on your build. But a Super Shotgun/Focused Double is really good. You get the damage and knockback of the double shotgun with the range of the shotgun.
