I was taking shots at the mastermind with my shotgun while hiding behind a pillar, but then the mastermind lost interest in me and wandered off. I had a rocket launcher with just a single rocket, but fortunately I had a nano pack and a few rockets from my modded RL was all it took to finish off the mastermind.
