I'm all but certain that I was wearing Plasteel when I picked up the M5. Should I have been able to?

Turrets! Woo! (except for the auto targetting of them, though drones have trained me to check my target)

Oops, I really should have checked my experience on the way out.

Radiation seems weak. I explored an entire radiated storage level without even really worrying about it.

Well, good question. Anyway, there is more than one heavy weapon that can be picked up without Gyro.

Radiation does not kill you instantly here, like irl ;) .

Actually what is really missing is the post mortem information if you win that you died of radiation poisoning soon afterward anyway.
