Shooting out of vision barrels

Shotguns work on barrels. Explosions as well.

But you may be right that the other weapons need to have it adjusted. Bullet type weapons does not seem to work at all.

I'm not sure I ever managed to explode a barrel outside range with bullets, though I wasn't trying for too long. Ammo is precious. Either it's impossible, or just very hard. In any case not worth it right now.

Edit: I just tested it - four bursts from HK MG4 machine gun (32 bullets) towards a barrel five spaces away in bad lightning conditions (just outside visible range) are not enough for a marine with basic training with these weapons to hit it.

50% accuracy compared to in sight sounds about right. And its experimentally realistic :)

And it is around the same as it is in DoomRL.

Though I've only seen it once (edit: twice), they will destroy a barrel, if they can't path around it.
