Shame I didn't have a nuke tbh :( I coulda ripped JCs face off - only been there once and I rode his rocket last time :(

Mostly melee build, chainsawed a lot through the game and managed to get far without needing vamp, just teched out all my gear :)

There's a nuclear BFG in the mortuary. Still, it works just as good when overloaded.

Ah, I'm a bit of a DoomRL noob so I didn't realise you could overcharge those weps to make a nuke, I shoulda known since they have the word 'nuclear' in their name (I did get the Trigun once and curiosity killed the space marine! :()

I was a bit disappointed that I was so kitted out and didn't get to face JC - now I know! Might go for an AoB since I enjoyed using melee - the tech helps when you get an automap and can plan closing the distance more carefully. Might try next time with beserk/intuition and see if that helps and go for marine or scout

Scout's best for that, since Intuition is a basic trait for Scout, so you don't have to waste levels on Eagle Eye.
