"You buncha--" Ruhig said as he finished his beer and followed the group that was heading up the stairs.

"Holy shit! What was that?" Lucas exclaims in surprise. Instinctively he starts to look around for emergency exits in search of escape routes.
((No problem about the roll. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if you rolled everything, to keep the flow of the story going.))

Just posting to make clear my intention of not following the group going upstairs. :)

The > are stairs up, leading the the main entrance, as well as an entrance to the VIP area. There is a door (+) behind the bar, probably storage, and another door marked STAFF ONLY is near the DJ. The door between the bar and stairs leads to the toilets. There's a small balcony above them, which I didn't fit. There's people all over the place, quite a few are heading upstairs, Johnny, Khran and Ruhig among them.
Suddenly there's shouting coming from the top floor and those who were pushing to get up the stairs start to push in the opposite direction. There is a flash and a dead body of a patron is falling down the stairs, a burnt hole through its chest. At the same moment, two silvery flares appear on the dance-floor and ugly uniformed aliens pop into existence, guns blazing. A pandemonium breaks out, people screaming and running around mindlessly.
