[E|0%|YAVP] True Pacifism! :)

(You should do it before 2DeviationsOut beat you to that.  >.>)

Better yet, do it in Ao100, because then I could *truly* get 0%, since I don't have to kill the Cyberdemon and Mastermind!  :P

Seriously, though, I doubt I could pull this off in N!  More enemies means more opportunities for accidental kills by crossfire, not to mention more chance that *I* will get killed.  :P

--- Quote from: Evilpotatoe on February 25, 2013, 07:29 ---I don't even want to imagine the treasures of strategy and patience you needed to complete such a run... Kee he he, this must have been such a mess !

--- End quote ---

It was different; I can tell you that!  :P  I had to fight the urge to sidestep, like I usually do.  I frequently had to take a bullet (or two or five) to save my "enemies" from getting killed.  (or take a fireball or plasma ball)  ;)  Fortunately, at ITYTD, healing sources give you double, which was a big help, and fewer enemies meant fewer people picking up my med packs.  :)

--- Quote from: Evilpotatoe on February 25, 2013, 07:29 ---On my quick ITYTD runs, they sometimes vanished before the bruither brothers of the anomaly xD

Probably because you spent time killing enemies.  :P  The Scout's stair sense was a big help for getting to the exit fast; once I got my strategy down, I don't think I had a game where the berserk ran out before the Anomoly.  There were plenty of games where it ran out before Tower of Babel, though.  :|

Evilpotatoe:
Yeah, of course, I take medpacks, sometime armors... and probably a lot of useless stuff / frags. I beleive my fastest wins are @level 5. Rushing directly to the stairs must save a lot of time, but what I mean is that I managed to have my zerks run out in something like 4 levels, while your strategy involves keeping them during... 12 ?
I think lucky berserks and/or invincible for the cybie are a viable strategy too. (well, guess I gotta try this now... sounds just too fun not to give it a try)

It's too bad cybie doesn't give level 4, intuition as 1st skill would have been so sweet...

About Ao100... I think you should try playing it as AoPc first. I'm not sure surviving all those levels WITHOUT ANY XP will be very possible, and just in case you forgot... challenges can't be played on ITYTD !
Also, more levels means more chances of bad/not-good-enough luck :)

EDIT :
1st try ended in a cave @lvl 4... lost souls are too strong !

2nd try was what I would call a partial win :
Adam Ring, level 4 Arch-Vile Mjr General Scout,
defeated the Mastermind on level 8 of Hell.He survived 6944 turns and scored 21128 points.
He played for 7 minutes and 4 seconds.
He killed 8 out of 310 hellspawn. (2%)
 [a] [ Armor      ]   duelist armor [2/2] (54%)

Oh, and btw, I got an invulnerability globe for cybie (zerks went off @Deimos 5), and entered at DIS invincible (well, just enough time to pull the lever, but the fun remains :)
I didn't even grab the power mod for my armours... just the one for my chansaw.

I think the only medkit I used was to spare some invulnerability rounds... looks like I forgot how ridiculous monsters are on ITYTD.
On the other hand, saving the 6 poor souls I consumed seems way harder :)

ParaSait:
Tormuse needs a custom title. Like, Aikido Blackbelt or something.

Maybe I could do both!  Yeah, I considered doing this on AoPc, but it blocks the Scout's stair sense.  :|  I don't know if I'm *actually* going to try it on Ao100; I was kind of joking, but then again...  ;)

BTW, nice runs!  Now you see how tough it is!  :D  I think half of my attempts ended on level 1, due to that pesky Sergeant in close quarters.  I don't actually know how many tries I made, because any time someone died, I just used Shift-Q to exit, which doesn't generate a mortem.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Invulnerability duration is based on number of actions, rather than time, so using a medkit and running would actually make it run out faster, not slower.

I like it!  :D  I'll take it!  :D

Funny you mention that; I've considered taking Aikido in the past...  Maybe I will some day...

Evilpotatoe:
About Ao100, I meant you should play it like an AoPC before even trying to spare lives. I think it's already harder than any other challenge :)

And about invu duration... err, you're probably right. I never really managed to count powerup's duration. IIRC, they don't work all the same, do they ? like berserk & invu are a limited number of actions, while suit or light amp might be in nuber of turns ? I miss thoses info in-game :(

Just gave it another try... Spoiler (click to show/hide)Fortunately, lost sould have a good fire resistance !

Finally, killing the bitch was rather easy : Found 4 zerks before cybie (bonus stopped on hell 5 or 6), and some sweet devices.
Still, it was a huge failure : He killed 11 out of 266 hellspawn. (4%)
