Ok, the first thing to learn from this mortem - CG chars should always enter the next level with a PR in hand :P

Heh, I do know about that too. Just be ready to hide as soon as possible when you get that feeling that too many arachnid eyes are watching you. And if hiding is not possible... sell your soul at a high price :P

Other than that, better luck next time!

It seems the best way to deal with Arach caves is to find a hiding spot and wait.
Just to hold down the '.' when you're outside the reach of the AI. They always seem to have at least a little lava around to kill them slowly. No XP there, though...

What does it mean?
Chaingun was fully loaded, so I sold my "soul" for a really high price.. Killed 2 of the bastards before being destroyed. :)

About hiding.. did not stand a single chance, as I was in the middle of an open area of the level, with A coming from all directions :(

From my experience, if you choose the EE path, entering the next level with a Plasma Rifle greatly increases your chances of survival, even if it's a 5-shot clip instead of a CGs 20-clip, mainly thanks to a much better knock-back which makes that temporary escape a little easier :)

BTW, if you YASD and want to discuss it, keep the end-shot so we have a better idea of what was going on. But I hope that won't be needed :P
