Just to make it clear - DS is a regular drop, but there is a way to make it spawn in UC in a fully non-random way (requires skill though).

I've met DS several times and I can tell you that these do not work on picking it up:

-Both hands free
-Low health
-No armor
-100% kills
-Overhealed
-While berserk with none or one or more of the above

and honestly I'm thinking the new way of picking it up is something super simple that I am hoping to test next time around I see it, which is pretty much to try the "use" button instead of 'pick it up' button. Doubt it will work but hey who knows.
Too bad it has appeared in ages for me.

Though honestly, I am more interested on seeing it with the combination of berserk armor. I don't think anyone has yet done a game with both of them weilded yet?

Could you spoiler the list of things you tried as well? I don't want any advice. Or rather, I want to know everything, but I want to figure it out myself even more =)

Darn it, Fanta Hege!  That's what I was thinking of doing!  If it works, I'm gonna seem unoriginal!  :P  Well, I'll have to think up some more DS-wielding theories in any case.  Like you say, maybe that one is too obvious.  Also, like Klear requested, you might want to put your theories in spoiler tags.
