Hmm... By my calculations, if 666 levels can be completed in 7 hours, 666,666 levels can be completed in about 292 days. (That's assuming continuous play and you don't take breaks to eat, sleep, or work) :P If you do factor in time to sleep and work and you eat while you're playing, and can manage to play for 8 hours a day, that comes to about 876 days. Since Nightmare! doesn't allow saving, you would have to have your computer running continuously for about 2 and a half years.
All perfectly doable. Right, thelaptop? ;)

The correct answer to your question is he usually *doesn't* appear! :P I've been playing this game off and on for over two years and I've never encountered the Apostle. I think he only "normally" appears if you have Dragonslayer and Berserker Armor and personally, I've never figured out how to use either one. :| I'm impressed that a "noob" was able to do it! It's the big secret of the game that few people know how to do! Congrats! :)

It was version 0.9.9.5, actually, and yes, there was a bug where the Apostle was guaranteed to appear on level 100.

Since the thread is about DS...
I just found my 2 first DS (in the same Ao666 run, didn't even know it could happen, tought you couldn't find a unique again, even if you didn't grab it), and have a question...
From what I read, most of character (if not all) should be able to wield DS. Does that mean that my character is supposedly able to ? Whatever build I got, current stuff I have, and so ?
Btw, I hope I'm not asking too much ? :/
Spoiler (click to show/hide)I tried several things, like dropping all my stuff, getting under 10% hp, BFGing the thing, opening or closing it like if it was a door, (heh.. I got no idea why it would work, but why not ?)... and just don't see what else I could do.
But since I didn't even skill a single point un Bru, had no zerk pack available, and even missed a kill in one level... I wonder if this kind of conditions could prevent me from picking it up. Also, I never play melee, so I'm afraid I'll just never be able to fullfill the conditions.
I'm not planning to spend too much time trying to figure out how to wield it, but I'd prefer my attemps to have some chance of success...

To prevent from dying of boredom (in my "defense" I killed every single demon up until about level 100) ;-) Seriously, will all the equipment I got on me and my traits it was no challenge at all anymore. I used like 2 medkits if even on the last 500 or so levels and besides that the soulcubes, health globes and whatnot were sufficient. And by the way, I am female :-) But well, my nickname hardly gives that away.

Thanks :-) Well, noob as in I never played the game before 0996, can´t make it past the Anomaly on Nightmare and die in 9 out of 10 Ultra Violence runs. Actually, I picked up the Dragonslayer in 0996 before but to be honest I met part of the required conditions partly by mere accident/chance. Lucky me, I guess.
