heh 1 hour is not a long time. I recall keeping my computer on for three days only because i didn't want to leave DS behind. I gave up after 3 days though.
(these days I begin to think that I am the only one stupid enough to not manage to pick it up after thinking about it for a while)

I think it took me a grand total of two Dragonslayers and ten minutes of mucking to pick it up.

I just haven't actually gotten a chance to use it for a full run.

In fairness, I might have never gotten it picked up were it not for a friend going "If I got it, I plan on trying X" and I tried that.

...Then again I haven't gotten it again, so I don't know if that was important. Probably, though.

I didn't spend all the time trying things, fyi. Most of it was just musing. What tools did I have, what could I rule out, what could I try without screwing it up. The solution ended up being one of the last things I would have tried. (Yet I'm still not 100% sure what the exact requirements are; need more Dragonslayers to experiment with)

Like I said, I left the game running instead of saving and closing it. I probably actually played the game ~6-7 hours.
