-- General ---------------------------------------------------

128 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 92 of those were killed.
1 of those was killed by something unknown.
6 didn't read the thermonuclear bomb manual.
And 10 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.

 19 souls destroyed the Mastermind...
3 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
12 killed the bitch and survived.
4 showed that it can outsmart Hell itself.

Yep, it's that AoLT guy again. xD

So where do I start?
How about with this: Lost Souls are suddenly my favorite enemy, since they never respawn?

If I cleared this, it meant that I would get a shiny new platinum as well as a shiny+ new diamond.
But given how the last half a dozen or so runs went, I'd say those two are both long-term goals.

Initially I tried Marine for Army of the Dead, but I quickly learned to be very afraid of respawning Hell Knights (well, respawning anything, I suppose).
Then I tried Scout. Scout turned out to be slightly more favorable. The increased EXP rate meant I could get Shottyman fairly early on (though I suppose if I actually attempted the special levels, I'd get Shottyman even earlier), and then work to Intuition because...I need a crutch for N!. This is insane.

And then I arrived at Phobos Anomaly and it didn't occur to me why the ambush section was so quiet. Having played Ao100 and ArchAo666 a couple of times, you'd think I'd catch on to the silence. But I didn't, and then the walls opened up, and I made a mad dash back to the starting area. Probably would have a generally better idea to run forward and see what would happen if I ran straight ahead. Probably wouldn't have ended much better. It certainly has been a while since I've died at the Anomaly.

I may or may not really like AoLT.

Yeah, I am of the same mind, to never give a serious attempt on N!.
But lately I wanted to try something new on DoomRL, and N! seemed appealing.

And now I will not touch N! for another couple months. Might as well learn UV first, heh.
