I just needed safe points of entry. I saved myself before each special level, because I'm paranoid that way (and saved before cybie/mm). I didn't actually have to USE the saves though.

Hey, no sweat, I tend to save a lot too. Usually just to take a short break from the game to get coffee, grab a bite to eat or do something useful. I do use the saves, because I don't like to keep the game running when I'm not looking. I'm pretty sure it mocks me behind my back...
