StarStorm:
Oh my fucking god I am so sorry. My condolences.

Tormuse:
LOL!  I love how you're all talking as though I lost a parent or something.  :P  Thanks, guys.  :)

That would be truly evil; anyone who wanted all the badges would have to play through AAo666 on N! twice!  :o  But I suppose it would be nice to have something named after me.  :P

I considered that, but with such low health, teleporting anywhere meant certain death, because using it means I'm standing still for one second of game time.  (I think?  Actually, from the duration of the barrage I sustained, I wonder if Hell Staff usage takes longer than one second; it would explain some things)  If I had been a Technician and could insta-use stuff, I'm sure I would have survived this.

And on an unrelated note, this game was the first time I encountered a Bruiser Brother complex, Shambler complex, (two of them!) and a Cyberdemon complex.  I considered sticking around the Cyberdemon complex and seeing if I could kill them all, taking advantage of the Inquisitor set bonus to protect me from them, but I was invulnerable at the time and I didn't want to waste the invulnerability.  Come to think of it, I should have taken advantage of the Plasma Shotgun full-reloading bug again.  It probably would have killed them all!  :D  As for the Shambler complexes, they were simply insane!  :o  Fortunately, on both occasions, I was invulnerable when I entered the levels, 'cause I don't know if I would have survived otherwise with all of them simultaneously teleporting up to me and lighting up the screen with massive criss-crossing lightning bolts.

DoomRL punishes brain lapses. C'mon Tormuse, you should know this by now!

So how many sittings did this take?

New category of medals: Fails.

I know...  I just momentarily forgot due to brain lapse.  :D

I'm not sure exactly; it was a lot of little sittings, like I would sit down to bang out a few levels and then go do something else for a while, whether it was watch a movie, read a book, sleep, eat, work...  I can say that the game accelerated as it went on, like the first fifty levels took two days and the last two hundred took two hours.  :P

Heh, I actually really like this idea!  :D  Hmm...  maybe I'll add it to the Horrible Ideas thread.  :)

With additional requirement for cause of death to be former human/sergeant/imp.

Anyway, good luck next time :)
