In further thinking and consulting the Wiki I believe I mixed something up. Since the BFG 10K can officially be modded with only a single mod even when you're a technician I must have tried to get it modded further just to get the not moddable any further message. And then I probably scavenged it.

And how can a B*FG rapidfire? (got it)

Edit: Turns out the B*FG has a normal 250 clipsize as opposed to 100 in the original BFG 9000 so there you go.

Hmm. I wonder... my only B*FGs have been built on nuclear BFGs - since the nuke plasma rifle has a smaller magazine then the regular one, the same may be true of the BFG. That would explain the difference.

I guess I just never noticed the magazine disparity before.
