Hmm, does Hell Staff do something I don't know about that wastes time? I thought it just acted as a phase device o.O
Would the B*FNG have done enough damage to kill shamblers? They seemed exceptionally resilient in the past, but that may have been a good thought.
And running... that may have been a good idea too, except my original plan didn't involve movement, and I half expected to be berserk once they started hitting me. I suppose Shambler projectiles don't do quite enough on their own, and it's just the sheer number that hit that did me in.
Speaking of running, does Dodgemaster apply to multiple incoming single projectiles? In other words, could I have just kept sidestepping them, and letting them kill each other off? I suppose even if it worked I would have taken some damage from bad angles, though.
Plasma shield might have helped - it did take some of the edge off Arachnocaves, but yeah, it got chewed up pretty fast, and I'm not sure how long it would have lasted here, but it may have kept me alive. Yet another thing I didn't consider till too late =P Also, I didn't know what kind of damage they did - for all I knew, it could have been piercing or acid or something, and the plasma shield would have got me killed even faster.
Still, I know for next time. I think I may give 666 another shot, for two reasons - first, it will be more fun to get Centurial Platinum that way, and second, it'll bring me a lot closer to Armorer Platinum. Between those badges I'll be promoted again, and while that's probably not the fastest way I can go about picking up badges, I do like AAo666 better then other game types.
