Aaaah! Finally I started to get the hang of things.
I made it to Dis and nuked the Spider Mastermind.
Partial, yeah, but it got me my Sergeant rank!

I know you guys here are running through 666 levels on UV etc but this is a big deal for me :)
I'm sure everyone remembers how exciting it was to finally plow your way to end for the first time, though!

I went Rel->Rel->SoB->SoB->TH->TH->MAc->SoB->HR-> and plowed most of the endgame with plasma rifle (1d7)x6 [40/40] (A1)
(also wow Nyarlaptotep's Boots are pretty cool, and I also got Gatekeeper Silver without realizing it hahaha)

So um... yes :D

Anyone else remember finally clearing their first game?

Congratulations on your first victorious run!

Unfortunately for me, I don't remember what my first clear felt like. I was probably ecstatic though. Pretty sure my first run went along the lines of: Playing as a Marine on ITYTD, YAAM, probably Conqueror, and killing the Mastermind without nuking. Oh, and Army of the Dead. And it was on 0.9.9.6. But aside from that, the finer details are foggy.

Revel some more in your victory, then try some of the challenges if you haven't yet.

...as you should. Congratulations! Why not do yourself and your achievement justice and post it in the Post Mortem section? Add the contents of your mortem file too, for maximum coverage.

A first win is always an epic achievement, whatever game you choose - congratulations, and many more wins down the road to Diamonds :).

My first win? A very basic ITYTD victory back in the times of 0.9.9.0 or 0.9.9.2 - no classes, no Spidey, just a Cybie at the end. I can recall it was a Army of the Dead build. I think I also had to spread the word here :).

Oh by the way - check the Post Mortem section here at the forums - if you wish to share your particular wins or deaths (preferably with mortem files attached), post them there.

Mine was in 0.9.9.1, and yeah, there was no Spidey, just 25 levels with the last one being Cybie. (or 26 if you find the secret level) The Anomoly was on level 15 and there were no assemblies and fewer special levels.

Masterless Intuition build and looks like I had some lucky drops, including Malek's Armour and a Railgun!

EDIT: It's pretty funny to me now that it took me three and a half hours to complete an ITYTD game! :D
