Playing on Fedora 18. I got the same bug as in all of these bug report posts.

I definitely was wielding a chainsaw while enemies died at many points, and got the message "What? You're a pacfist?" as well as an error message in the message log.

Obviously, there's no point in reporting an extensively reported bug...unless, of course, it is marked fixed in the version that you have. Interestingly, my player.wad appears to have been updated (and I am VERY THANKFUL about that, since I got four medals I had not had before and also the two first Pacifist badges) but my score.wad has not (it still says my best AoPc game ended on L3, my previous record [yes, I jumped from L3 to L24]). The mortem was also not written, so I don't know everything about the game.

Yeah, it still exists in 0997.  The good news is that the kill attribution code has been rewritten, so it'll be fixed for 0998 (along with several other related bugs and quirks).
