Shottyman Diamond Badge Criteria: Complete Angel of Shotgunnery on N! with 80% kills
Daredevil Diamond Badge Criteria: Complete AoOC on Nightmare! with 80% kills
Shottyman Angelic Badge Criteria: Complete AoSh + AoOC on Nightmare! with 50% kills
There's actually a rather funny story behind this. At the time of this run, I was only after the Shottyman Diamond badge. Upon discovering that you can still win badges through Dual Angel challenges, I combined AoShotgunnery with AoOverConfidence, so that I didn't have to deal with Anomaly and Cybie using only shotguns. Plus, it makes it easier to reach the requisite kill ratio, since you give the game less of a chance to screw you over with level setups that are crappy for perma-killing monsters.
So after sentencing the Mastermind to death by plinking with a thousand shotgun shells, I was happy to see Shottyman Diamond Badge appear in my player database and went off on my merry way. Sometime later, I came back and checked and... wait, why do I have an Angelic badge? Did something glitch in my game? Shottyman Angelic Badge? Wait... whaaaaat? So I had no idea that the Dual Angel combination I had chosen JUST happened to also be the requirement for that particular Angelic badge. That was very cool.
(On a side-note, I also didn't see that I'd also nabbed the Daredevil Diamond Badge, since I thought the second challenge didn't count for badges. Later on, I fulfilled the requirements for that too, only to mysteriously not have it appear in my mortem. Then when I checked in a huffy fit, I found that I had already gotten it in this run. Still doesn't explain why I didn't get it in that one run, but I got it, so I'm not complaining.)
Anyways, I may be biased since I favor shotguns pretty heavily, but I think this is probably the easiest of the Angelic badges to pick up, assuming you're good at perma-killing enemies without corpse gibbing equipment. Thanks to the nice gear you start with, getting this one isn't too bad as long as you enter on a favorable level arrangement (one that makes gibbing with shotguns easier), and get a spawn group of sergeants (for their shotgun shell drops).
