Heheheh, where to start? Alright, I've been working on a MGK-based AoMr run for a while, not a whole lot of games, but enough to feel annoyed. I tried dual Speedloaders before, but they weren't powerful enough. Dual high-powered pistols seemed to do the job, but without 3xSoG and/or MGK, they were still prone to being insufficient (requiring a reload somewhere between volleys). But Deimos lab changed the game -- I found a Combat Pistol there, together with a Bulk mod and a Power mod. Unfortunately, I had just assembled a high-powered pistol before finding the Combat Pistol, a mistake since I've not really played the Deimos Lab before. So it took a while before I could assemble a high-powered Combat Pistol.
I tried to visit the Abyssal Plains, but it was too Abyssal for a Marksman en route to MGK -- the lack of cover and long reload times between volleys made it too hard to fight my way through. I had a small stack of Homing Phase Devices that I used to get myself out, and that was the basic premise for the rest of the game after the Spider's Lair, which I conquered with Invulnerability Spheres. After getting MGK, I went for Int instead of Fin, and spent the rest of the game Int-scouting for power-ups while charging for the stairs. That turned out well because there were just so many Invulnerability Spheres about! The Spidey fight was almost trivial due to the invulnerability.
All in all, this run felt more RNG-blessed than others.
