1. The "chaosforge" one seems to be a new version of the other one judging by the "old Crawl wiki" link on the main page

2. Even if it's not there is nothing that prevents Kornel from maiking his own Crawl wiki :P

The first one is for Linley's Dungeon Crawl, the original game, which hasn't been updated in a while (somewhere between months to years).  The other is for Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, a spin-off of sorts that's being currently developed and which is the version you're playing if you're using the crawl.akrasiac.org site.

I was confused about this at first too.  Reading this page helped me understand wtf was going on.

Not exactly. The old one was overrun by spambots, and someone on the rgr.misc group asked for a replacement which I offered here on chaosforge. True, that it is mostly about SS branch, but that's only because SS is "fresh meat" now :P.

Ok, thanks, that certainly clears things up.

Still, wouldn't it be better to have the old one cleaned up and renew its moderation, or to expand RogueBasin with more specific details, rather than waste bandwidth here? If I've understood correctly, this isn't near cheap, and if the wiki gets big it'll really eat up resources. At least elsewhere the burden of payment is better spread out.
