FlamingTP:
I tried again for about an hour, only beat it once, shaved my time down to 12 minutes.

I don't care what the label says though, this is NOT an Easy angel. at least medium, it's only easy if the stairs are right there or maybe if scouts could still see stairs right away, THEN it would be easy. That and if you get stuck in a hallway (or worse, the stairs being in a hallway blocked by a barrel, instant loss.) My dead DoomGuy count is now 3 digits lol.

LuckyDee:
It's mostly a luck thing, although it actually involves at least some strategy. Best thing about it is that it's great a teaching you how to get yourself out of trouble a.s.a.p., should the need arise.

FlamingTP:
I have been learning a great deal about the game mechanics from a player standpoint trying to get the gold badge. Mostly though I've learned that:

1.You almost always die early,
2.When you play really fast the game lags
3.Imps love to follow you
4.Shotgunners are more dangerous than anything that isn't a revanant. They are playing pinball and you are the ball.
5. There needs to be a way to move barrels blocking the stairs, or jump over an enemy in a hallway...at least the barrels blocking the stairs part.

LuckyDee:
Can't say I agree with pts 1 and 2, but 3 and 4 I can vouch for.

In regard to point 5, there is a solution: it's the sergeants you mentioned under point 4 :S

I'm going on a limb and assume several things:
* You are playing with graphical tiles.
* You kept things like BloodSlides, Flashing on.
* You left the MorePrompt option on as well.
* You didn't turn off hints. Those are rather massive time sappers that make it hard to shave time off.  At the risk of self-promotion, here's my AoPc win.  Yes, I used the Scout class, and get as much speed/dodge boost I can first (HR/DM), before cranking up HP and intrinsic armour.  I took only a level of Badass to help a little with storing up more health -- knockback can be, in many ways, your friend since it allows you to get propelled farther and hopefully more towards your goal of the stairs.

Stair-sense is useful because it allows you to cut back on the cognitive burden of discovering the location of the stairs -- that cognitive burden can sap off quite a bit of time, actually.  Maybe you can try this out for your next Pacifism Gold Badge run.
