I've been having no ends of trouble trying to even get to Deimos on AoB. This time I had a lot of luck, and played it carefully. I had the Double Chainsaw and Duelists Armor when I got to the UC, so the Angel of Darkness was a real pushover. Thank you for the Longinus! I found the Vaults but quickly remembered I hadn't slain the Arena Master (since Hell's Arena on AoB is stupidly difficult), so I had no way into the vaults. Meh.

On level 20 I found Limbo. I've had experience with the Mortuary before, but I figured I'd give Limbo a spin. I had Berserk and Invulnerability from the previous level, so the start was done in a jiffy. The "islands" were solved by rushing the Viles, just eating all the Mancubus and Reventant fire. They took care of most of the minor monsters and gibbed the corpses, so with liberal use of all the red armors and large medpaks, it wasn't so horrible. Once I had the Angelic Armor, well...the game was set :P

Found the Lava Pits and that's when I knew I had to do a full win, since I had a nuke and now the Lava Element. Ended up not needing the element, since I had invuln stepping into Dis. Boom! Done. JC was a HUGE pushover as melee. He spawned a group of lost souls while I wailed on him with Longinus. Second time he spawned a group of Barons, but that's when I triggered the spear. Everything died. Including JC. WIN!

I LOVED this run, it was awesome!

EDIT: Don't ask about WK2. I was intending to assemble a Ripper, but realized too late that you can't do that from a Double Chainsaw. So that was picked for nothing :P

Still, congrats, I have been able to make AoB work on 0997 yet. Did you do a lot of gift-dropping?

And no, I only had to gift drop a few times to whack a few Sergeants and Captains that insisted on soaring in large, open rooms. But generally, I was far too fast, and later far too tanky, to even care.

Well, using giftdropping combined with run:wait is actually really great at improving your chances of staying alive on the early levels. Not that it mattered on this run, but maybe you can use it to your advantage on subsequent tries.
